Kenyan coffees are the "Kings of Acidity". Acidity in coffee means high sugar levels. Peaberries are the male coffee beans which grow as a single seed, bean, per cherry. Does this mean all of the flavor potential is concentrated into a single bean? The Peaberry makes up only 1% of a coffee trees harvest. The sorting and cleaning of the green beans is designed to specially select the Peaberry. Throughout the harvest months, the Peaberry count grows and reserved until the volume is enough to process and prepare for shipment. The investment allows a most concentrated and vibrant cup of coffee. Many countries skip the Peaberry sorting making this Kenya Peaberry a special late in the season delight.
Kenyan Peaberry is in limited supply until it is roasted, brewed and drunk.
